46.5 mio Americans live in poverty, and the poverty rate in the US has been at 15%+ for 3 consecutive years. The first time that has happened since 1965. Land of the free.

Yesterday's gains will likely be wiped with European inflation at a measly 0.7% (CPI) - under 1% for 4 months in a row. Meanwhile, Japanese inflation is at it's highest in years.

A cheerful start to the new year: Britain's youth
750,000 16-25 year-olds believe they have ‘nothing to live for’.
Of those that are unemployed, 40% have mental health issues linked to joblessness.
1/3 of 16-25 year-olds who have been unemployed for more than six months, have contemplated suicide.
